Vineyard

 

The French oenologist Paul Bordes is engaged in the development of the vineyards. After he became acquainted in detail with the specific climate and taste of the soil, he defined the crop varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc as most suitable and promising. And he was right – the plantings delivered in 2009 by the French leader among the producers of planting material, Pépinières viticoles Mercier, struck roots and developed perfectly on this land of ancient history, unique conditions and promising future.

 

Planting with laser seeding machine and supporting using a metal support structure gives to the vines an opportunity to be cultivated extremely precisely and the grapes to ripen evenly. For them, care is provided by the local specialists who strictly observe the technologies and make them match the individual conditions of the terrain which they know well. During the spring pruning, they reduce the grapes to half and by this they ensure effective growing of the variety. That is why everything that is good for the taste and quality is put into the grains of the obtained 4 tons/hectare (40% of the normal yield for all cultivated (vitis viniferas).
